Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), April 15, 2014 – Performing Dance Arts, Toronto’s leading dance studio for children of all skill levels, is announcing they will travel to Las Vegas this July to take part in the 11th annual Hall of Fame Dance Competition, a national event that features five age divisions, ranging from eight years old to age 19 and over.

“It’s always exciting to be participating in an event of this magnitude,” says Ashley Daychak, artistic director at Performing Dance Arts. “Competition is a great way for dancers to assess how they match up compared to other dancers from around the world.”

Daychak explains that dance competitions have become increasingly popular over the past decade, particularly in Canada. Events like Dance Canada and Thunderstruck are touring competitions that stretch throughout the year and have a positive influence on Canadian dance culture.

“There have just been so many more people interested in dancing overall,” she continues. “As long as the quality of the dance competitions remains high, then people will continue to support.”

The inflation of dancers also means there has been an inflation of dance studios. Many young people are taking an interest in dance classes and studying the art form. Daychak adds that learning to dance is a great way to express oneself, enabling young people to learn to be confident, creative, disciplined individuals.

“Performing Dance Arts is an excellent dance studio that teaches these principles to all of their dancers,” Daychak concludes. “We cater to both recreational dancers that simply want to learn to dance and young, aspiring professionals that are seeking dancing as a career.”

Performing Dance Arts has been providing a friendly and creative atmosphere for kids for over 26 years. Located in Woodbridge, Ontario, Performing Dance Arts’ 11,000-square-foot facility offers classes in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, and hip hop at recreational and competitive levels. Students receive quality instruction from Performing Dance Arts’ qualified dance educators with a dance teaching designation and/or dance arts degree.
