Isabella Sasso is a Toronto-based dancer and artist who has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of two. I am proud to have grown up training at Performing Dance Arts Vaughan, where I have spent many years developing my technique, artistry, confidence, and passion for dance. Throughout my training, I have developed a strong foundation across a variety of styles, including tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre, and acrobatics. I have had the opportunity to compete at numerous dance competitions throughout my training, gaining valuable performance experience and continuously challenging myself as a dancer. I have also had the privilege of learning from and being inspired by incredibly talented teachers and choreographers, including Denise Wall, Stephanie Rutherford, Eryn Waltman, and many others. These experiences have allowed me to expand my knowledge, strengthen my technique, and continue growing both as a dancer and artist.
For me, dance is so much more than movement and performance. I believe that the skills developed through dance extend far beyond the studio and play an important role in the development of young children. Through years of training, I have learned the importance of organization, time management, commitment, teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. These skills have shaped the person I am today and have become increasingly important as I continue to grow both personally and professionally. I believe that dance provides young dancers with valuable life skills that they can carry with them long after they leave the studio.
As I continue to grow professionally within the dance community, I am passionate about creating a supportive and inspiring environment where young dancers feel encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop their own love for movement. Having grown up at Performing Dance Arts since the age of two, I understand the lasting impact that a positive and encouraging dance environment can have on a young dancer. I hope to inspire my students not only to become stronger and more confident dancers, but also to become disciplined, responsible, and well-rounded individuals who carry the lessons they learn through dance into every aspect of their lives.
