Part-Time Program Director /Teacher

Kristen Conte has been dancing since the age of four and competitively since the age of 8. She has trained extensively at Performing Dance Arts in a variety of genres including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Acrobatics. Kristen has also trained with a professional Tap Ensemble, Toronto Rhythm Initiative and has performed in various professional shows along side respected tap artists such as Ryan Foley, Allison Toffan, David Cox and many more. In addition to Toronto Rhythm Initiative, Kristen trained at the Tap Dance Centre by joining the advanced company under the mentorship of Mackenzie Greenwell and Ryan Foley. Throughout the years, Kristen has had the opportunity to train with many established dance educators and choreographers across Canada and the United States and has won various awards and scholarships.

Kristen is certified as an A.D.A.P.T dance teacher, studying under Brian and Faye Foley’s Teacher Training School. She is a St. Elizabeth Regional Arts Dance Program honours graduate and is the recipient of the student award of excellence of her graduating dance class. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University) and a Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior Divisions from York University.

Kristen is filled with excitement and energy for the new season, eager to embrace fresh opportunities, inspire young minds, and foster an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive through creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for dance. Kristen’s enthusiasm, passion for dance and love of teaching will make it an enjoyable experience for all of her students.
