Marley Bjork is a Toronto-based dancer and educator with training across a variety of dance disciplines. She graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts, where she majored in Ballet and Modern Studies, receiving several dance achievement awards and scholarships. She began dancing at the age of three, competitively at the age of six and started training at Performing Dance Arts Etobicoke at the age of nine. Her training includes ballet, contemporary, modern (Graham, Limón and Cunningham technique), jazz, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics. Marley is currently studying Law and Human Rights at York University while continuing to teach dance and pursue her passion for working with young dancers.
As a teacher, Marley strives to create a positive, welcoming, and encouraging environment where young dancers feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing their skills. She believes that a strong dance environment should balance technical development with creativity, confidence, and enjoyment, while allowing each student to progress at their own pace. She is passionate about working with young dancers and sharing the knowledge and experience she has gained throughout her own training. Marley looks forward to continuing to share her passion for dance and contributing to the growth and development of the dancers she teaches.
