Deanna Romano is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and emerging artist, born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Deanna graduated from Performing Dance Arts in 2019, training in various genres of dance to gain a versatile and diverse dance education. Romano’s passion, determination, and talent have been strongly recognized, allowing her the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s leading dancers and choreographers including Martha Nichols, Stacey Tookey, Teddy Forence, Ryan Foley, Stephanie Rutherford and Travis Wall. Deanna is the 2021 recipient of the Grant Strate Award in Dance, part of the Circle of Scholars and the Dean’s List, recipient of the Talent Entrance Scholarship from York University, and completed the ADAPT Teacher Training Program certification in 2022. Deanna has a passion for teaching and shaping young dancers into the future generation of artists, and uses her extroverted and light-hearted spirit, alongside her versatile dance education to bring cheerful energy and an abundance of knowledge to her students as a faculty member of Performing Dance Arts.
